Volunteer Spotlight: Donitta Palmier
“Oh there is NOTHING absolutely NOTHING better than to be used by GOD.”
For Donitta, serving is a sacred calling, born in a quiet moment of prayer.
“One morning,” she recalls, “I simply asked God, What can I do for You? And He answered clearly: Serve my people.”
Donitta obeyed with a full heart and found her way to CCA. What began as a simple search for a place to serve has become a beautiful journey of faith in action.
“I don’t tell many people this story. It’s something I only shared with my Sunday school kids. But I want people to know—when you give your life to serving God, He shows up,” Donitta says with conviction.
And He certainly did the day before Thanksgiving. Unaware the pantry was closed, Donitta arrived with a truck full of food—just like any other day. As a faithful ‘Breadrunner,’ she regularly picks up and delivers donated groceries from local stores to our Food Pantry. But that day, what seemed like a mix-up turned into a miracle.
“There was a woman in the parking lot crying and praying for food. I tapped on her window and asked, Do you need food? We both cried. She wasn’t alone. There were families everywhere who had come to the pantry and found it closed. I gave away every single item in my truck that day. That was God. All honor and glory to Him.”
