“It gives me a sense of purpose and makes me feel good to help others.”
Nearly 13 years ago, Anita saw a small ad in a local paper about CCA. She had no idea it would lead to a big, beautiful chapter of her life.
After learning more about our mission, Anita felt drawn to serve. Now she faithfully works with volunteers and staff behind the scenes every week in the Admin office. Her creative flair is what helps us pull off Volunteer appreciation events, Christmas gatherings for donors and all types of fundraising needs.
“Christmas is always fun at CCA- from decking the halls in the Admin building and filling the many many volunteer slots needed for CCA’s Christmas Cheer events. It’s an exciting and wonderful time. Coming up with the themes, decorating, and dreaming up creative ideas—it’s such fun to see it all come together. I love honoring the people who give so much of themselves.”
But beyond the glitter and garland, Anita treasures the people. “The friendships I’ve made here—both with fellow volunteers and staff—are the kinds that will last forever.”
