Run For Chris
On February 27th, 2010, Dr. Steve Smalley will be running in the Cowtown Marathon in honor of Christian Fuchs. He hopes to raise $3,000 to help defray the costs for a much needed wheelchair customized to meet the needs of Chris's challenges as a result of Lesch-Nyhan Syndrome.
Dr. Smalley is a Flower Mound pediatrician who has not just been touched by Chris' diagnosis, but also his unquenchable spirit and joy in life.
Unfortunately, insurance and government agencies will not provide funding for this chair, so Dr. Smalley has decided to combine his love of running with his desire to help Chris and his family.
CCA has provided some assistance for Chris and his family and now supports Dr. Smalley in his efforts to raise these funds.
