Golden Angels

A special program for low-income seniors living on a fixed income of $800 a month or less. Golden Angels meets once a week and address these clients’ social and emotional needs.

Every Monday, seniors have sole access to CCA’s community room, providing a venue for social intervention and two healthy meals; exclusive shopping time at the Food Pantry; access to housing restoration and repair services; the Vocational and Educational programs; the Adult Health Center; and are assigned a Family Assistance coordinator who assesses each individual’s unique situation.

More than 120 seniors participate in the Golden Angels program. For those who do not have transportation, monthly transportation vouchers and free gas cards are distributed to those who qualify, thanks to a generous grant by the Dallas Women’s Foundation’s Mustard Seed Fund.

There are several great opportunities to volunteer with our Golden Angels. Click here to see what they are.
