Dear Friends,
We’re so glad that you are visiting our Web site. Thanks to a generous grant from our friends at UPS and a lot of hard work by our designers, we’ve launched this new site, and we’re excited about the new look and expanded information we can now communicate to you—our friends and partners in this ministry.
Christian Community Action has been helping families in crisis here in North Texas for more than 35 years, and it is my honor to lead a ministry that is so dedicated to meeting the needs of hurting people. From humble beginnings in a small group bible study, CCA has grown to serve more than 12,000 people annually and has developed a model of service that is truly unique in its ability to transform the lives of those who come to us for help. We’re not just here for a quick fix or to put a band-aid on a crisis. We seek to build deep, lasting relationships with struggling families and give them the tools and confidence to succeed. Our goal is to start a transformation—providing hope for a more abundant life both physically and spiritually.
As we serve the families who enter our programs, we work hard to ensure that they are always treated with dignity and respect. We want to support them as they grow and gain the skills to be successful, but it is also important to us that they invest in their own progress. We stress accountability in all facets of our ministry. At CCA, we are accountable to serve these families with compassion and are also accountable to our donors and volunteers to be excellent stewards of all resources entrusted to us. In turn, we expect the same accountability from the families we assist, linking our financial support to responsible actions on their part.
In all we do at CCA, we seek to follow God’s will and guidance as we serve His people. We have great plans for the future, and we are building the capacity for that future with significant expansion in our advanced vocational programs and major improvements to our Lewisville campus. We pray that you will join us in our mission. There are thousands in our community who need our help, and we seek your partnership in meeting that need.
